A Hymn about Holy Communion
©mireille mishriky, author
An apple on a tree
In a garden that we can’t see
Where Adam and Eve were free
To choose their destiny
Death was the choice they made
And a price had to be paid
Chorus:
The Last Supper was the First
To quench our hunger and our thirst
The body and blood of Christ make
A Holy communion that we partake
The King left his heavenly throne
To a Virgin, He was born
Healing the sick and raising the dead
On the cross of shame, He bled
Paid the price for our salvation
To Him we give glorification
Chorus:
The Last Supper was the First
To quench our hunger and our thirst
The body and blood of Christ make
A holy communion that we partake
Communion is the only way
To reach heaven; we pray
To be granted eternal life
An end to all struggles and strife
Chorus:
The Last Supper was the First
To quench our hunger and our thirst
The body and blood of Christ make
A holy communion that we partake
In Christ,
Mireille
