Indoor family activities that will help you read the Bible together!

It is cold, and I want to stay indoors!

I dislike hate Winter! That’s right; I said the word HATE!

Living in Canada, winter is a reality that stretches on and on and on, like the energizer bunny without the fluffy cuteness. Month after month of snow and freezing temperatures can make even the happiest person grumpy!

Unless you love winter sports (I don’t) or have a body that handles the cold well (I was not blessed with that either), winter will be challenging, to say the least.

However, happiness can be (should be, MUST be) cultivated under all circumstances. I stumbled upon this internet meme, and I loved it so much, that it has become a quick “pick me up” when the snow outside my window piles on!

Between the physical distancing guidelines, lockdowns or partial lockdowns (the pandemic is still going strong, unfortunately) and the cold weather, it seems like we will spend more time indoors!

Solution? Indoor family activities!

So, what is a no-outdoor-activity family to do during those long winter months?

Time for some fun indoor activities, sure to beat the winter blues, which will ALSO double up as introductions- refreshers to pivotal Bible stories!

I have compiled a list of activities that will provide many hours of entertainment. I have also included suggestions that tie the activities to specific Biblical passages that you can leverage to turn the activities into wholesome, edifying fun. Indoor Family Activities that will help you read the Bible together = the best way to enjoy winter together and grow spiritually as a family!
