How faithful are we to Christ? Introducing: Philo and the Faithfulness SuperHoly!

Good day friends, I have a question, actually, quite a few questions! When did we stop talking about our faith? When did we stop proactively sharing that we are Christian? When did we stop being faithful to our faith in Christ? At our first job? During University? College? High School? Or at an even younger age? We are living in an era where it is politically incorrect to criticize any religion, except Christianity. In fact, criticizing Christianity is almost evidence of one’s intellect and independence. It is now accepted to openly mock the Christian faith, to distort Biblical truths in...

It takes a Village to raise a book: Philo and The SuperHolies 3 years anniversary!

Dear Friends, It takes a Village to raise a book! Three years ago, Philo and the SuperHolies became a reality after spending too much time hanging out in my dreams. This is a Thank You letter to all of you past strangers who have become friends: This journey could NOT have been possible without your support. Your words of encouragement are better than ranking on all the bestsellers lists in the world. Messages from parents telling me that their children “Activated the SuperHolies” bring tears to my eyes. Stories of children hosting SuperHolies themed birthday parties make my heart sing....

SuperHolies’ Summer Camp Fun

Good day  dear friends, The weather is getting colder and the days are getting grayer; nothing like pictures of sweet angels enjoying the SuperHolies at summer camp to add some warmth and light to my Monday! This summer, Saint Paul's Coptic Orthodox Mission Church of Chicago, leveraged the SuperHolies during their summer camp. I feel blessed and honored that the SuperHolies were deemed useful to teach children about the love of Christ. My dear friend Sandra sent me these beautiful pictures and the ingenuous way that the SuperHolies were incorporated into the material: ''the kids all had a chance to listen...

When passion is louder than doubts- Vincent Van Gogh

Good day dear readers, What are you passionate about? When you were younger, what did you dream of becoming? If you could quit your day job, how would you spend your days? Would you be exploring the wilderness, capturing nature in breathtaking photographs, sculpting, writing? What is holding you back? What is holding us back from indulging in our passions? Fear of failure? That fear kept me captive for years and still ambushes me every week , like clock work. I leave you with this eloquent quote from a brilliant artist who battled his own demons. I refer to it...

Why did I write Philo and SuperHolies?

Why start my publishing journey by writing a story for children? Christian children? My faith, my son and the angels I serve in my Sunday School class. I have been writing since before I can remember. Writing occurs in spite of me; independent of my will. My son, extraordinary in my eyes, has the same ordinary love for superheroes as the average youngster his age. Despite my best efforts, Bible stories could not compete, night after night, with the allure of Spider Man or Captain America. We would read Moses one night and he would ask for Lightning Mcqueen the...
