Good day,

Does reading the news leaves  you feeling anxious?

How many times do we wake up with notifications on our phones that some horrific tragedy had unfolded during  the night?

Just yesterday, I woke up to multiple notifications of the mass shooting in Vegas. May God comfort the loved ones of all impacted families and may the victims rest in peace.

The weeks prior brought news of floods, hurricanes, death, and nuclear-war threats (to name a few).

Time and again, I turn to this quote from Philippians, more specifically, the latter part of the quote: ‘And the Peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds.’

The Evil in this world surpasses all understanding. The past 100 years has demonstrated a hunger for evil that is simply terrifying. How can we ignore the atrocities that have been omitted and that continue to be committed?

We can’t.

But we can change our focus.

Our refuge is in our Lord.

Our hope is in our Lord.

Our comfort is in our Lord.

While the world has forgotten the Lord, let us never waiver in our faith.
